August 30, 2011 – Medical Center Enterprise is officially breaking ground on a new 21,566 square foot Women’s Wing today, although earth began moving on the $5M project early last week. The latest in a series a capital improvement projects; the new building will encompass a separate first floor entrance for patients, families and visitors. Public spaces on the first floor will include a reception area and a very comfortable waiting area. The second floor of the new facility will house 13 post partum rooms and 5 Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR) rooms; all very spacious and handsomely appointed. The new rooms will be beautifully decorated and equipped with the latest medical technology. Jeff Brannon, CEO says, “Our Women’s Wing staff is known for their outstanding, patient/family centric and friendly care.” Brannon adds, “Completion of this project will enable our physicians and staff to continue providing this care to our patients and their families in the newest spacious and comfortable environment available in the Wiregrass area.” The project is expected to be completed early summer of 2012.
