Medical Center Enterprise Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer

Enterprise, AL (December 6, 2013) – Medical Center Enterprise (MCE) welcomes Bob Phillips, RN, BSN, MSM, as the hospital's new Chief Nursing Officer(CNO). Phillips comes to Medical Center Enterprise from Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL where he served as an Assistant CNO. During that time, he played an instrumental role in Nursing leadership, including the development & mentoring of clinical nurse leaders as well as the establishment of several new clinical services. He has had responsibility for Critical Care, Emergency, Cardiac/Vascular, Neurosciences, Oncology, Palliative Care and Behavioral Health services at Crestwood.
Phillips served as the Chairperson of the Emergency Management Committee at Crestwood and he has served on the boards of the Huntsville Emergency Medical Service, Hospice Family Care, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the North Alabama Trauma System. Phillips volunteers with the Unsheltered International Missions organization and has worked with the Metropolitan Medical Response System of Huntsville/Madison counties and the Madison County Emergency Planning Committee. Prior to working at Crestwood, Phillips worked in several other hospitals in Emergency and Critical Care departments. He also has experience in Chemotherapy and Home Health.
Phillips has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Huntsville and a Master’s of Science in Management from Florida Technical University. Phillips has served in the United States Air Force on active duty and as a reservist.
