Current Visitor Guidelines
In light of the number of positive Covid-19 test results, Medical Center Enterprise will begin with the following guidelines on Friday, October 22, 2021:
- PCR COVID-19 testing will be administered on all admissions.
- PCR COVID-19 testing will be administered on all employees who present with symptoms
- COVID-19-positive patients (not located in the ICU) will be allowed one (1) visitor at bedside.
- ICU patients will be allowed one (1) visitor at bedside unless it is end of life, special needs, etc
- 4N/3N/MedSurg patients will be allowed two (2) visitors at bedside.
- Women's Wing (labor & delivery & post-partum) patients will be allowed two (2) visitors/caregivers for the duration of their stay.
- Emergency department patients will be allowed one (1) visitor/caregiver at bedside unless end of life, special needs, or if the patient is 18 years of age or younger.
- Outpatient surgery patients will be allowed two (2) visitors/caregivers at bedside.
- Outpatient procedures (lab, radiology, sleep, etc.) will be allowed one (1) visitor/caregiver to accompany the patient.
- Outpatient surgery patients will only be COVID-19 tested if the surgeon orders the test. Otherwise, appropriate precautions are being taken (no change from the current practice).
