Medical Center Enterprise Welcomes New CEO, Rich Ellis

Enterprise, AL – Richard Ellis began his new role as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medical
Center Enterprise Hospital effective on April 29, 2013.
Prior to moving to Enterprise, Mr. Ellis served as the COO for a 355-bed Tenet Healthcare Hospital in
Hickory, North Carolina. Rich brings 12 years of hospital executive experience and 21 years of active and
reserve experience as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard to his position here. His extensive hospital
operations management combined with his military command skills are the perfect combination to
address the health management needs of Enterprise, Fort Rucker, and surrounding communities.
He earned his MBA from the University of Texas in Austin and is a Fellow of the American College of
Hospital Executives.
Rich and his wife, Michelle, are excited about coming to Enterprise, and mentioned, “The things that
attracted us to come here were Medical Center Enterprise, the people, the school system, and the
growing economy of Enterprise and Coffee County.” Rich and Michelle have five children ranging in age
from two to twelve years of age.
